AfriForum Youth repaints road markings in front of Rustenburg High School
The road markings in the street in front of Rustenburg High School now boast a fresh, new coat of paint after AfriForum Youth’s Rustenburg branch, in collaboration with members of AfriForum Youth’s Brits branch and the AfriForum branch in Rustenburg’s neighbourhood team, repainted the unclear markings on 11 April.
Three pedestrian crossings and the road markings at the intersection of Kock and Von Wielligh Streets were repainted to improve the visibility of the markings in front of the school and thus create a safer environment for road users. The members also distributed pamphlets during the painting project to market the AfriForum branch in Rustenburg’s recycling service.
“We believe that small actions can make a huge impact. In addition to the fact that the repainted road markings promote safety, the environment now also looks neater,” says Juan Ferreira, Chairperson of AfriForum Youth’s Rustenburg branch.
