AfriForum Youth is aware that many medical graduate careers are being held up because the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) fails to issue them with registration certificates and\/or practitioner\u2019s numbers, without which they cannot practice their medical professions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
AfriForum Youth ascertained through a formal application in terms of the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 that the HPCSA finalises only 40% of applications for registration certificates and only 60% of applications for practitioner\u2019s numbers within three months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
AfriForum Youth views this hold-up in a very serious light and wants to compel the Council to immediately process all outstanding applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
