\u201cIt is clear that the EFF remains a radical \u2018blacks only\u2019 political party. Their actions prove to citizens that there is no place for Afrikaner heritage in this country,\u201d said Ian Cameron, AfriForum Youth\u2019s Spokesperson, after the EFF yesterday night painted various Church Street signs with red paint.<\/p>\n

Cameron explained that the comments to the media yesterday night which had been made by the EFF\u2019s Ntobeng Ntobeng were proof that none of the \u201cold names\u201d such as Church Street were important to either the EFF or the ANC.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt seems that the EFF can only debate with red paint and that nation building does not feature on their one-sided agenda. AfriForum maintains that the heritage of all cultures in South Africa should be protected, instead of the racial hatred that the EFF and ANC now fuel,\u201d Cameron explained.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

AfriForum Youth said that neither the Afrikaner\u2019s nor anyone else\u2019s history could be painted over.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur actions aim to broaden mutual acknowledgement and respect for one another\u2019s culture and heritage, not to detract from it. To paint over someone else\u2019s culture is not the way to respect their heritage,\u201d Cameron concluded.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
