AfriForum Youth and students supporting this organisation today launched a campaign on the main campus of the University of Pretoria (UP) to inform students of the University’s weakening stature as tertiary institution. As part of this campaign, worthless degrees were handed out to students.
The Student Court of Appeal of the University of Stellenbosch (US) on 9 September 2016 delivered verdict concerning the appeal of the eight AfriForum Youth candidates who are contesting the election of the Student Representative Council (SRC).

Eight AfriForum Youth SRC candidates today filed an appeal against a decision of the student court of the University of Stellenbosch (US). The order directed that no student council elections may take place at the US until the university provided AfriForum’s candidates with reasons for their disqualification from the student council elections and until they had an opportunity to appeal against it.
AfriForum Youth will bring an urgent application before the High Court in Cape Town tomorrow to compel the University of Stellenbosch (US) to reinstate the candidature of eight candidates for the Student Representative Council (SRC).
